Sales of breeding sheep and store lambs will be held each Monday evening commencing 2nd August – entries lotted on arrival.
The following sales are catalogued and entries can be made either to the mart or by entry cards available from the mart office.
BALLYMENA
Saturday 7th August – Sale of Suffolk Cheviot X and Continental X Breeding Ewes, Hoggets & Ewe Lambs.
Saturday 14th August – Show & Sale of Greyface and Mule Hoggets, to include shows of Mule Hoggets and Greyface Hoggets organized by the Bluefaced Leicester Club and URBA.Also Crossbred and Suffolk Cheviot X Ewe Lambs.
Saturday 21st August – THE BRAID SHEDDINGS (Moved to Ballymena Mart for convenience) - Annual Show & Sale of Blackface Ewes, Hoggets and Ewe Lambs many from local pedigree breeders also Crossbred, Mule and Suffolk X Ewe and Wether lambs
Monday 23rd August – Show & Sale of Mule Ewe Lambs organized by the NI Bluefaced Leicester Club and the URBA.
Monday Evening 23rd August – CARNLOUGH (Moved to Ballymena Mart for convenience)- Annual Sale of Greyfaced, Suffolk CheviotX and Texel X Ewe and Wether lambs.
Monday 27th September - Sale of Blackface Breeding Ewes, Hoggets and Ewe Lambs
Monday 27th September – Evening Show & Sale of Mule Ewe Lambs organized by the NI Bluefaced Leicester Club.
Monday Evening 25th October – Ram Fair – sale of pedigree and non-pedigree rams of all breeds
The following outside sales are held on annual basis and entry is restricted to local sheep producers
CARGAN – Thursday 26th August –Annual Sale of Blackface and Crossbred Ewe and Wether lambs.
LOUGHGIEL – Saturday 28th August – Annual Sale of Mule, Suffolk, Blackface and Crossbred Ewe and Wether lambs. This sale will include a show of Mule Ewe lambs organized by the NI Bluefaced Leicester Club.
CUSHENDUN – Wednesday 1st September – Annual sale of Suffolk X and Mule Ewe and Wether lambs. This sale includes a show of Mule ewe lambs organized by the NI Bluefaced Leicester Club.
SHILNAVOGIE – Tuesday 7th September – Annual draft sale of Crossbred and Sufflok X Ewe and Wether lambs also Blackface Ewes on behalf of Mr. Francis Mulvenna
